Adding PayPal as a payment option actually helps increase conversions.
It’s used globally for those who don’t have a credit card and is a trusted merchant payment processor.
It’s free and easy to sign up for a PayPal account and can be added as payment gateway in GrooveSell.
Video Tutorial: How to Connect PayPal Account To GrooveSell
UPDATE: you no longer need to create a Paypal app in the tutorial
Let’s get started.
1. Create A PayPal Business Account
You will need a PayPal business account in order to add it as a payment option in GrooveSell.
If you have a personal PayPal account, you can upgrade from a personal account to a business account by logging in to PayPal.
Once you’re in the main menu, click on the cog icon located on the top.
You’ll be directed to settings, over on your left hand corner, click on “Convert to a business account”.
Once you’ve done so, it will ask you “Tell us about your business”.
Select your entity structure, it could be sole trader, LLC, company.
Proceed through the steps to upgrade your personal account to a business PayPal account.
Now once you have a business PayPal account, you will need to log back back into your PayPal account.
2. Connect PayPal To GrooveSell
You will need to log back into GrooveFunnels and click on the GrooveSell app.
In this tutorial, I’ve already created a test funnel for us called “Aimee coaching”
Don’t worry, in the next tutorial, I’ll walk you through all the steps to creating a product funnel.
For now we just want to set up PayPal so that when you create your product funnel it will be a breeze to connect your payment gateways.
You can grab your FREE GrooveSell Account here.
Once you’re in GrooveSell, click on “Funnels” on the left tab.
In the product funnel, you created – under “Actions” click on the drop down arrow and select “Manage Products”.
This will bring you to the GrooveSell sales wizard setup.
Since I’ve already created a product funnel, I can skip ahead straight to number 3 “Gateways” so click on it.
Then click on “Setup Gateways” and then “+ Add New Payment Gateway”.
It will then give you an options on what gateways would you like to setup, so select on “Paypal”.
Now it’s going to connect you to PayPal and ask to log in so just enter in your email and password.
It will then ask you permission to allow PayPal to connect your account within GrooveDigital so just click on “Agree and Connect”
Then you can click on “Go back to GrooveDigital” and you will receive a notice stating that connection is successful.
You can close this tab and head back to GrooveSell then click on the “Product Funnel” on the left tab.
On the right side of your product funnel, click on the actions drop down arrow then select “Manage Products” then the check icon again.
Head to number three “Gateways” then click on “Setup Gateways” and now you can see that PayPal is now connected.
3. Set up Paypal Account
Then go to “Payment Gateways” and then under the tab called PayPal, you can add PayPal account by clicking on “+Add Paypal”.
Select your PayPal account that you have just registered.
Right underneath your PayPal, the payment gateways default to 100% after being added which means that this account would be used all the time.
You can also set the PayPal risk mitigation, this is to limit how often PayPal is showing on your checkout page.
Once you’re done click on “Save” above and then you can click on exit.
